قد يبدو العنوان غريباً لكن الحقيقة ان إيران  كانت حاضرة فى المسيحية منذ البدء ففى مشهد ميلاد السيد المسيح كان موجوداً المجوس الثلاثة (الإيرانيين) الذين اتوا من المشرق حاملين هداياهم وعادوا لإيران دون الرجوع إلى هيرودس لأخباره عن مكان الصبى يسوع ليهلكه ، وهؤلاء الثلاثة هم من قديسى الكنيسة الإيرانية وما تزال أجسادهم محفوظة لديها.

الأستاذ الدكتور محمد رحومة العميد السابق لكلية الدراسات العربية – جامعة المنيا والمدير السابق لمركز سوزان مبارك للفنون والآداب بجامعة المنيا يعلن رسمياً تحوله إلى المسيحية من خلال غرفة البالتوك بإستضافة الأستاذة نجلاء الإمام له . وقد صرح الدكتور رحومة للأقباط الأحرار أنه بصدد إتخاذ الإجراءات نحو تغيير خانة الديانة في جميع أوراقه الرسمية .
